Weapon Detection
Gun detection software that runs on the cameras you already have, flagging a visible firearm the moment it enters frame rather than after someone reviews the footage.

What it does
Why review time is the problem
Most sites already have cameras covering the entrance a weapon would come through. What they do not have is someone watching every feed at the moment it matters. Footage reviewed afterwards tells you what happened; it does nothing while an incident is still unfolding. Weapon detection closes that gap by watching every frame continuously and raising an alert in the seconds that count.
What the model looks for
Trinocular AI detects visibly carried handguns and long guns in open carry. It runs on the live stream from compatible IP and CCTV cameras, so there is no separate sensor to install and no hardware to replace. Each detection carries a confidence score, the camera it came from and the zone, so a responder knows where to go rather than just that something happened.
What happens after the detection
A detection is only useful if it reaches a person. Alerts route to named staff and on-site security with the clip attached, through the channels you configure: push, SMS, email or a control room dashboard. Sites with lockdown procedures can wire the detection into their existing emergency routing so the chain from detection to response is one step, not three.
Honest limits
The model sees what the camera sees. A weapon concealed under clothing, held below frame, or obscured at distance will not be detected, and no vendor claiming otherwise should be believed. Accuracy depends on camera placement, resolution, lighting and distance to subject. This is a force multiplier for a security team, not a replacement for one, and we will tell you plainly when a camera position cannot support it.

Questions
Does weapon detection work with my existing cameras?
In most cases yes. If a camera streams over ONVIF or RTSP at adequate resolution and the mounting angle gives a clear view of hands and torso, it can usually run weapon detection. We assess the specific camera positions before committing, because angle and lighting matter more than brand.
Can it detect a concealed weapon?
No. The model detects visibly carried weapons only. Concealed carry detection would require different sensing hardware entirely, and any video analytics vendor claiming to see through clothing is overstating what the technology does.
How many false alerts should we expect?
That depends on the scene and the confidence threshold you set. Thresholds are configured per site and per camera during deployment, and tuned against your own footage before the system goes live, so the alert volume matches what your team can actually action.
Who receives the alert?
Whoever you nominate. Recipients, channels and escalation paths are configured per organisation, and a single detection can route to several people at once, each with the evidence clip attached.
